二○○八年金融海嘯，讓生產工具機的千富面臨重大危機，營收瞬間掉了八成。遭逢生死存亡關頭的慘痛經驗，成為千富轉型升級動力，十年下來，千富商業模式與客戶結構已經徹底轉變。改造巨輪一旦啟動就停不下來，完成客戶分散化策略後，目前千富選定數位化、生產智慧化，作為繼續升級的目標。
成立於一九七九年的千富，本業產品是車件與銑件等金屬加工機械，在金融海嘯之前，八成訂單來自兩個主客戶，而這也是千富一夕之間消失八成營收的主因。
當時二代莊惟捷已經在千富工作十年，從品保工程師一路熬到廠長。他認為應該調整訂單結構來分散風險，但時任總經理的父親不認同，「我認為訂單來源要跨不同產業，父親則認為專心做一種產品就好，幾次爭吵後我就被Fire（解雇），卻在一周後被父親找回來擔任總經理。」莊惟捷說。這戲劇化的接班過程，莊惟捷直說自己運氣好，但也因此讓第一代就此放手給莊惟捷推進公司轉型工程。
莊惟捷說，精密加工產業受終端產品影響極大，汽車產品循環可長至八年，但手機可能每年都在更新，產業變化就更加快速，因此「現在千富的接單策略，不會讓單一產業訂單占營收超過三成。」他說。
此外，近三年千富成功切進高端醫療產品市場。過去，與其他產業客戶的產品開發期頂多一個月，但是跟醫療產業客戶卻花了一年時間開發，由於醫療要求的產品精密度更高，千富也因此能鞏固自己的競爭優勢。
過去一直專注在代工領域的千富，在一三年走上自創品牌之路。專案經理莊翔捷指出，千富工廠有上百台設備，許多機台上的耗材都得靠螺絲固定，鎖螺絲的鬆緊程度過去都仰賴老師傅的經驗，要是有誤差，可能就會使機台受損。為了延長機台的壽命，一○年千富便投入扭力起子的開發，讓螺絲鬆緊程度能標準化，並在一三年正式成立品牌Sloky。
Sloky品牌名取自台語諧音「鎖落去」，從一三年創立至今，合作客戶多達兩百多家，產業領域遍及醫療、軍事與自行車產業，目前Sloky的營收占比已達三成。有自有品牌加持，千富近五年每年營收都有超過二○％的成長，儘管上半年遭逢疫情影響，但莊翔捷說：「我們今年上半年已經達到去年全年的接單量。」顯見自有品牌是目前帶動營收成長的重要引擎。

鎖螺絲花多少力氣？一般人往往憑感覺，鎖太緊轉壞螺絲，結果取不出來，必須破壞器具的狀況很多人都遇過。千富企業總經理莊惟捷將痛點變成生意，花了兩、三年的時間，發明出全世界最小的扭力起子，產品輕小，解決用力過度的問題，拿下德國發明專利。他成立的「SLOKY」扭力起子品牌，吸引國際手工具大廠爭相上門做品牌聯名，一年賣出30萬個，創造上千萬營收。
千富企業隱身在輔大周邊小巷弄中，外觀是平凡的透天厝，莊惟捷工作、生活都在這棟建築物裡。一、二樓是工廠、辦公區域，樓上是是住家，他跟弟弟、千富企業專案經理莊翔捷兩家人，全部都住在這裡。
莊惟捷是台商二代，2000年進入家族企業工作，從基層的工程師、研發人員做到總經理，他花了13年的時間。
2009年，金融海嘯席捲全球，生產3C設備、汽車螺絲的千富企業也難逃一劫。「當年，我們把大部分的產能壓在3C設備，結果市場萎縮，只剩下20%營業額。員工人數也從70、80人，掉到30、40個人，」莊惟捷用「跌一大跤」來形容這段經歷。
危機有時也是轉機，莊惟捷開始尋找新的利基產品。他從生活中的痛點出發，工廠常使用到車床刀具，更換車刀鎖螺絲時，常有員工用力過猛，導致螺絲壞掉卡住，最後不得不破壞刀具取下，代價高昂。如果可以知道要花多少力氣，一切問題就能迎刃而解？
接下來的兩、三年，莊惟捷踏入陌生的手工具領域，投入心力研發扭力起子。歷經無數次的失敗、改良，2013年取自台語「鎖下去」的諧音，推出「SLOKY」品牌，首個產品終於問世。同一年，他正式接班，成為總經理。
「SLOKY」扭力起子最大特色，是當施力達到設定的扭力時，扭力套筒就會發出「Click」聲響，使用者不用擔心用力過度。有別於市面常見的可調式扭力起子，「SLOKY」不同扭力套筒搭配不同起子頭，尺寸大小不同，顏色不同，不用擔心拿錯。
2014年，國外業務出身的弟弟莊翔捷也回家幫忙，兄弟二人當起空中飛人，到世界各地參展、找代理商，衝刺「SLOKY」業績。「那時候很多人不知道我們在幹嘛，老是不見人影，更不懂我們為什麼要花50％的心力，去拼5%的業績，」莊翔捷笑說。
「SLOKY」毛利率超過30%以上，這幾年業績都保持在兩成至三成的成長，營收占比約20%，一年貢獻上千萬營收。「SLOKY」許多國際手工具大廠都有品牌聯名，專攻歐美市場，莊惟捷觀察，這些國家的工廠多願意砸錢投資在手工具上面，且手作風氣濃厚，潛在市場大。亞洲方面，日本以外市場需求慢慢浮現，像腳踏車，「SLOKY」跟國內腳踏車大廠都有合作。
展望未來，莊家兄弟除拓展線上、線下通路外，更積極跨界與各廠合作，希望讓「SLOKY」產品朝多元應用發展，不侷限於目前的工廠、腳踏車、醫療等領域。
